U.S. Trade in Travel Services: 2014–18

In 2018, U.S. cross-border exports of travel services totaled $256.1 billion, while imports totaled $186.5 billion. This yielded a trade surplus of $69.6 billion. Exports increased by 1.8 percent from 2017, while imports increased by 7.3 percent. The EU, China, and Canada were the largest markets for U.S. cross-border exports of travel services and the EU, Mexico, and Canada were the largest suppliers of imports.
