In 2018, U.S. cross-border exports of professional services totaled $174.2 billion, while imports totaled $101.8 billion. This yielded a trade surplus of $66.3 billion. Exports increased by 6.6 percent from 2017, while imports increased by 7.3 percent. The EU, Switzerland, and Singapore were the largest markets for U.S. cross-border exports of professional services and the EU, India, and Canada were the largest suppliers of imports.
