U.S. Services Trade with the European Union: 2014–18

In 2018, U.S. cross-border exports of services to the EU totaled $250.1 billion, while imports totaled $197.3 billion, yielding a services trade surplus of $53.2 billion. Exports increased by 5.0 percent from 2017, while imports increased by 4.1 percent. Professional services accounted for the largest share of U.S. cross-border exports of services to the EU (28.2 percent), and travel services accounted for the second-largest share (20.7 percent). Travel services accounted for the largest share of U.S. cross-border imports of services from the EU (32.2 percent), while professional services accounted for the second-largest share (24.6 percent).
