U.S. Services Trade with Mexico: 2014–18

In 2018, U.S. cross-border exports of services to Mexico totaled $33.4 billion, while imports totaled $25.6 billion, yielding a services trade surplus of $7.7 billion. Exports increased by 4.0 percent from 2017, while imports increased by 6.5 percent. Travel services accounted for the largest share of U.S. cross-border exports of services to Mexico (62.8 percent), and electronic services accounted for the second-largest share (9.3 percent). Travel services also accounted for the largest share of U.S. cross-border imports of services from Mexico (78.2 percent), and professional services accounted for the second-largest share (7.5 percent).
