In 2017, U.S. cross-border exports of services to Canada totaled $58.0 billion, while imports totaled $32.7 billion. This yielded a services trade surplus of $25.3 billion. Exports increased by 7.6 percent from 2016, while imports increased by 8.0 percent. Travel services accounted for the largest share of U.S. cross-border exports of services to Canada (36.8 percent), and professional services accounted for the second-largest share (16.2 percent). Travel services also accounted for the largest share of U.S. cross-border imports of services from Canada (28.3 percent), and professional services also accounted for the second-largest share (19.0 percent).
