The USITC is a diverse and mission-driven agency with excellent work-life balance, regularly listed as one of the Top Best Places to Work in the federal government. In 2019, USITC is ranked #1 Best Place to Work among Small Agencies (100-999 employees) in the Partnership for Public Service’s (PPS) rankings of the Best Places to Work. During the last seven years, the USITC has improved its engagement score by over 25 points to 85.8. The USITC has the highest response rate among agencies with over 100 employees in the government on the FEVS (94%).
The USITC’s Office of Operations is ranked #3 of 420 governmentwide subcomponents of any size as a Best Place to Work.
The Commission views employee engagement and an inclusive work environment as critical to mission accomplishment. Each year, the USITC conducts an in-depth analysis of the results of the Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey and uses those results to make the Commission a better place to work. These efforts include the formation of management and staff focus groups to assist in the development of action plans to further improve the work environment.
