This interactive dashboard accompanies the U.S. International Trade Commission’s (Commission) USMCA Automotive Rules of Origin 2025 Report, Inv. No. 332-600, Pub. No. 5642. Extensive U.S. trade data relating to automotive products were collected from 2015 to 2024. The interactive dashboard compiles all data and allows users to explore the data for all automotive products in one location.
There are two tabs: Trade Dashboard and Auto Parts and Vehicles Table. In the Trade Dashboard tab, users can toggle between trade flow and product category tabs, as well as selecting year in the dropdown menu. The figures will update as menu items are clicked and selected. For the imports for consumption trade flow, users can toggle between “By rate provision” and “By preference program”, which will update the stacked bar figure in the top-left quadrant of the dashboard. Users can hover over the bars in the bar charts or wedges of the donut charts to get further information about the datapoint (e.g., value, preference program). The Auto Parts and Vehicles Table tab provides a comprehensive list of statistical reporting (Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) 10) and Schedule B numbers for automotive products. Users can toggle between HTS 10 (imports) and Schedule B (exports) product number classifications. The table also has the categories (e.g., light vehicles, heavy trucks and auto parts), subcategory (e.g., light vehicles, engines and parts, and chassis and drivetrain parts), and product description.
