On Wednesday, September 18, 2024, beginning at 5:30 pm, an update to EDIS (ver. 3.11.11) will be deployed that will include several notable enhancements and bug fixes described below.
One particular enhancement users should be aware of is new functionality for setting the Attachment Title field when filing a document. By default for most document types, the Attachment Title for each attachment will now be set to the filename of the uploaded file rather than assigning it a number corresponding to the Attachment ID. This change is intended to provide more descriptive information in this field. This behavior will apply to all document types for all investigation types except for “Questionnaire – Purchaser” and “Lost Sales/Lost Revenue” document types in Import Injury investigations, which will continue to assign the Attachment ID number as the Attachment Title. With this change, please be sure not to include any sensitive or confidential business information in the filenames for EDIS submissions unless they are one of the excepted document types.
Other enhancements and bug fixes in the EDIS 3.11.11 release include:
- Added red highlighting of inactive investigations when selecting an investigation in the document submission process
- Added display of Memorandum Number field for document types Staff Report, Staff Report – Final and Preliminary, and Staff Report – Pre-Hearing
- Improved the Query Builder Search function to allow drag-and-drop reordering of query components
- Added a pop-up notification message to provide a timeout warning when a user’s session is about to expire
- Added validation to allow users to only search and select EDIS users whose account is Active when adding them as a Delegate
- Added ability for users to self-remove their account from Delegators
- Fixed the "Back to EDIS" link in Login.gov to redirect the user to the EDIS Home page
- Fixed the Calendar wizard to open the calendar selection widget when clicking on the calendar icon
