The U.S. Trade Representative, Ron Kirk, has announced that the U.S.-Korea Free Trade Agreement (FTA) will enter into force (take effect) on March 15, 2012.

As with any free trade agreement, the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS) will be modified to reflect the tariff changes negotiated under the agreement. The USITC will post a publication on its website that details the tariff changes that will result from the U.S.-Korea FTA as soon as the President formally proclaims the agreement.

Users may monitor the FTA Proclamation Annex page or watch this space for information on the release of the USITC's publication. The HTS on the USITC website will be also updated (as Revision 1 (or Rev. 1)) on or before March 15 to reflect the implementation of the agreement.
