UNCOVERED INNERSPRING UNITS FROM CHINA
INJURE U.S. INDUSTRY, SAYS ITC
The United States International Trade Commission (ITC) today determined that a U.S. industry is materially injured by reason of imports of uncovered innerspring units from China that the U.S. Department of Commerce has determined are sold in the United States at less than fair value.
All six Commissioners voted in the affirmative.
As a result of the Commission's affirmative determination, the Department of Commerce will issue an antidumping duty order on imports of this product from China.
The Commission's public report Uncovered Innerspring Units from China (Investigation No. 731- TA-1140 (Final), USITC Publication 4061, February 2009) will contain the views of the Commission and information developed during the investigation.

Uncovered Innerspring Units from China

The products covered by this investigation are all uncovered innerspring units suitable for use as the innerspring component in the manufacture of innerspring mattresses, including mattresses that incorporate a foam encasement around the innerspring. The merchandise subject to this investigation is properly classified in statistical reporting number 9404.29.9010 of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS). Uncovered innersprings also have been imported under statistical reporting numbers 9404.10.0000, 7326.20.0070, 7320.20.5010, and 7320.90.5010.
