The U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) today announced that its two journals that feature staff-authored articles will be changing in the coming months.

Industry Trade and Technology Review (ITTR), which presented staff-authored articles on the global position of U.S. industries, the technological competitiveness of the United States, and implications of trade and policy developments, and International Economic Review (IER), which presented staff-authored articles concerning significant developments in international economics and trade, will be merged into a single publication. The new publication will debut in the spring of 2006.

The articles published in the new publication, like those published in the ITTR and the IER, will be authored by ITC analysts and economists and originate from research and analysis conducted as part of the agency's international trade monitoring program, which maintains the Commission's readiness to provide technical information and advice to policymakers in the Congress and the executive branch.

The conclusions and opinions expressed in such articles are those of the authors and do not reflect the views of the Commission or any individual Commissioner.

The ITTR's "Key Performance Indicators" (appendix A) will continue to be updated on a quarterly basis and will posted to the Commission's Internet site. The data can be accessed at (Regular users may wish to bookmark this page.)

Further details about the new publication will be released at a later time.
