President Barack Obama has announced that the U.S.-Colombia Trade Promotion Agreement will enter into force (take effect) on May 15, 2012.

As with any free trade agreement, the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS) will be modified to reflect the tariff changes negotiated under the agreement. The USITC will post a publication on its website that details the tariff changes that will result from the U.S.-Colombia Trade Promotion Agreement as soon as the President issues a formal proclamation allowing the agreement to take effect for the United States.

To view this publication users may visit the FTA Proclamation Annex page or watch this space for information on the release of the USITC's publication. The HTS on the USITC website will be also updated (as Revision 2 (or Rev. 2)) on or before May 15 to reflect the implementation of the agreement.
