The USITC report Year in Trade 2002 provides factual information on U.S. trade policy and its administration for calendar year 2002, including developments in trade organizations and programs including the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA), Andean Trade Preference Act (ATPA), Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), Caribbean Basin Economic Recovery Act (CBERA), Caribbean Basin Trade Partnership Act (CBTPA), Free Trade Area of the Americas (FTAA), Generalized System of Preferences (GSP), North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), U.S.-Chile Free Trade Agreement (FTA), U.S.-Jordan FTA, U.S.-Singapore FTA, and World Trade Organization (WTO). Highlights include OECD steel subsidy negotiations, selection of the new WTO Director-General, and discussions of WTO implementation issues, trade facilitation negotiations, and the WTO Integrated Framework for Technical Assistance.
